We raised the front using our A Frame
Using air tools by Power Tank we removed the tires after they were
supported on jack stands

To remove the front CV is simple.
Remove the brake caliper with a 13mm 12 point wrench. the brake line
does not have to be removed, just use a piece of wire to hold back the caliper
and avoid to crimp the steel brake line
Use a 2-1/16 spindle nut wrench socket to remove the lock nut and
pre-load nut.
Pull slightly on the rotor and the cone part of the bearing will
fall right out.
Clean the spindle and then remove the spindle flange

A light tap wit a rubber mallet will
pop off the spindle. The gasket may be spared.
Prepare to have a mess when removing
the CV since all the swivel grease will ooze out. It is good to have a
oil pan to catch the excess.
This is probably the most messy part.
Get several rags to clean all the grease out.
This is so messy that even your friends only watch and not ask to
help.

We cleaned all the parts real good with our Parts Washer
A 5 gallon bucket of varsol and a brush would work fine if no Parts
Washer is available.

I clean all the bearings and spindle nuts and then wire tie with a colored
wire tie. This way I know which side the bearings go and orientation.
Putting a same color wire tie on the caliper stud for reference helps
too.
When I removed the drive shaft one nut had to be cut off with a cut
off wheel.

After hitting several time with a rubber mallet and a large sledge
wit a brass punch the 3rd member finally broke loose.
It is a good practice to leave one nut on top so it don't fall out unexpectedly.
This is defiantly a 2 person job to
remove the 3rd member.
Thanks to Doug and a floor jack it went smooth.
