Damaged Ring & Pinion
We drove up a hill and heard a "POP".
We then lost all traction to the front axle and had a instant 2 wheel drive.
After babying it back 80 miles to Houston, we then looked into the problem. After
inspecting the CV joints and axles that were fine, we then pulled the 3rd member then it
was obvious. The spider gears were laying in the bottom of the housing.
