We planned a Ft. Hood outing inviting Mr. Jeffrey Aronson (Rover North Newsletter Main Editor) who visited us in Houston.  We all drove about 3/4 of the way and we got a call from Bruce B. who already was at Ft. Hood Area Access Control then, let us know that the Public Access was closed on that day !  What a screw up !  Until this moment, we were not serious about thinking about the possibility of a sudden closure of the Area Access.  So we had to turn around and Alan came up with this alternative location to stop by on the way back to Houston and we had a good time still.
