We were informed about the official Trail Cut with very short notice.  Since we decided to go there to help, anyway we drove to Gilmer the day before to join the group which was supposed to leave 10AM.  Next morning we waited and come to find out nobody was going to do in the 10AM group.  Waited till noon to join several of others including Clyde, and several from Southern High Rollers (Houston, TX) !  In the later afternoon we came across with a group from Beaumont (Fun Country 4x4).  We stayed one more night in Gilmer and helped making a couple of hills.  Others stayed overnight the day we left and worked on the trails next day also.  To join this creative trail cut, everyone must be a TMTC member.

This is the entrance area we al parked trailers & support vehicles.  Plenty of room !

This piles of dirt legally belongs to someone else for a while.  Please do not mess with it !  (Don't even try to drive on them...  It will leave the big tire marks and you know what to expect after that !)

Clyde took us to this hill to start with.  Getting off trucks and tools in hands.
From higher part of this hill.

After some trail cut, we were the one tried first (Of course we offered it to Clyde though...).  Pretty good hill we made.
Majority followed.  Some needed winch to get up.

Good thing there are many trees that we can use for winching !
Also Clyde showed us some nice dirt road for testing series of "articulations"...

We enjoyed it.  So as some Jeeps.
Good thing is, there is bypass everywhere.

Made a super hard core climbing spot, however, it is a "winching required" kind.  Here's some testing already.
And there is a bypass we also cut.  Not the easiest when ground is soft.
